Pesto for Dinner

Tonight, I finally got the chance to try out my new food processor. When Cole and I got married, we only registered for a really small one. It’s been nice, but only for small jobs like chopping garlic. When I tried to make pesto though, it would get louder, and start shaking and smelling a little like smoke. Not good. So, for my birthday, Marcia got me a new 14-cup food processor. It’s definitely big enough to handle a little pesto.

Tonight I made cheese ravioli with pesto and chicken. I used the pesto recipe from Everyday Italian by Giada de Laurentiis. We absolutely love her cookbook. Everything we've tried from it has been great. Then we used frozen ravioli and a rotisserie chicken to go with the pesto. All in all, it was a pretty easy meal to prepare, and it was quite delicious too.
