Dry Cleaning Conundrum

I have a question and need your help.

What do you do with clothes that need to be dry cleaned? Do you take them to the cleaners one at a time when each piece is dirty? Do you have a pile of clothes in your room? Do you hang them back up and hope you remember that they're dirty when it's time to go to the dry cleaners?

I'm really struggling with this. Right now I waver between a big pile of clothes and hanging them back up. The pile bothers me a lot, but I always forget a dress or pants or something critical if I hang them back up.

So, what is your system?

Well, I don't have a system (of course), but if I did, I would do the pile. I have reasons to back this up:

1. No matter how much I tell myself that I won't forget which pair of pants need to be dry cleaned, if I hang them back up, I will forget. Which will then stress me out, because I really enjoy wearing clean stuff. I really hate wearing dirty stuff. Except jeans...they don't count :).

2. If you just put them in your "need to be dry cleaned" pile in your closet then you'll know which ones need to be dry cleaned. You'll be the only one who knows they're there, and they won't be in the way.

Hope that helps! Love you!

I would definitely make a pile! Because I know I would NEVER remember which ones were clean/dirty if I hung them back up. Maybe you can have a "special place" for your dry cleaner the laundry room or closet. I've never in my life taken something to the dry when you figure out what works best...let me know!

I have a hook that hangs on the back of my closet door and I hang stuff there that needs to be drycleaned. (It's one of those over-the-door hooks.) That way I can just grab them when I'm ready to take a load. I usually don't take just one piece at a time, unless I really need that one and I don't have anything else. I think is a great compromise between your pile and hang options.
