One afternoon Cole and Ellen were playing together in the playroom and laughing hysterically. I pulled out the camera so I could catch it all.
The quality isn't the best...I was just snapping to capture the moment. I just love their expressions and the way they climb all over each other. One of my favorite parts of having twins is watching them together. Their relationship is fascinating.
This used to be typical of playtime for them, but these days they are busy pulling up on the couch, the table, and the baby gate. It's almost as if they aren't content just being on the floor any more. Ellen sometimes pulls up and can't figure out how to get down. So she'll just stand there until she gets tired, and then she whines for me to help her. It's pretty funny. She is so cautious while trying something new (I think she gets this from her Aunt Mary Alice!).
Cole enjoys pulling up on the couch lately, but he's so fearless that he will let go and then crash to the floor. He has a nice bruise above his left eye from a fall he took that landed him on one of the many toys littering the playroom floor. Even though he falls (and sometimes it seems to really hurt!), it doesn't stop him from trying something new and/or crazy. Perhaps that's just the difference between boys and girls? Who knows?
Playtime is quite fun and entertaining these days, even though New Baby is starting to slow me down a good bit. I still try to interact with the twins as much as possible, but it's rapidly becoming harder. I guess that just means that it's time for New Baby to come on and meet us! (Ok, maybe not for a few more weeks...my house is a disaster area; but it won't be long.)
